FRIENDS OF WIMBLEDON COLLEGE

The Friends of Wimbledon College (FoWC) is an active group of parents and friends who support Wimbledon College and the work of the school. All parents are automatically members of the FoWC and are warmly invited to become active in College life with us.

Our aim is twofold. Firstly we assist the school by performing duties such as providing refreshments at College events that include Parents’ Evenings, Drama Productions, Music Events, Prize Nights, the Christmas Carol Service, etc.

Secondly, we organise social events for the enjoyment of parents. These help to promote the ethos of the school and bring parents together as part of the school community. If these events also raise some money as well, this is a bonus.

To find out more about what we do and how you can become involved, please call or email.

We look forward to meeting you.

Friends of Wimbledon College 200 Club
After a long and successful period the FoWC have decided that it is now appropriate to close the 200 Club and to concentrate on other areas of support and fund raising. Thank you to all those who have supported the 200 Club over over many years. A final draw has been made and winners’ cheques have been posted out. However, a few prizes remain to be claimed from those supporters for whom we no longer have an address. A.Lionel-Rajah, D.Savage, M.Thomas and B.White (or anyone who knows their whereabouts) are invited to contact John Austin at the school. Other 200 Club supporters who have not heard by post but would like more information please also contact John Austin. The funds from the final period will be contributed to the College Chapel Refurbishment Fund. [this notice was posted on 10.1.08]
