All appeals against admissions for Y7 September 2012 will be heard week commencing 30th April.

Science Support Drop-in Sessions
From Tuesday 7th February the following drop-in lessons will be available after school in SC7 until further notice: Y7 (Tuesday),Y8 (Wednesday), Y9 (Thursday) and Y10 & Y11 GCSE sessions on Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursday's after school.
Y10 Science Exams
Will take place on 1st March (B1 and C1). We will be using the following revision guide in class revision lessons. Parents may wish to purchase a copy as it covers the Y10 and Y11 exams: Collins Revision New GCSE Science and additional Science (Edexcel) ISBN 9780007416042. This will also be used for Y9 Science work.
B2B Basketball Scheme
Following on from the successful B2B Basketball Scheme last year, the Roadshow is coming to Merton on Monday 13th February at St Mark's Academy, Mitcham for one day only. Further details here. Entry can just be for one person or with a group of friends. Pupils must be 13 years old to attend.

Band Night 2012
Following the success of the Comedy Nights, there will be a "Band Night" in support of the upcoming Rugby Tour which will take place on Saturday 10th March. Parents, friends, staff and former pupils are warmly invited. Further details here.
GCSE Artwork 2011
Artwork and sketch books from last summer's GCSE Art exam (2011) will be available for collection from the Art Department until 10th February 2012.
School Tracksuits
A new school tracksuit will be available from the end of February for boys in Figures and those boys who will be representing the school in Rugby Sevens after February half term. The cost will be £40. Those wishing to purchase the tracksuit should pay via parent pay, then collect from Mr Baker at the end of February. They are compulsory for all boys who will be representing the school at Rugby Sevens. If boys already have a tracksuit from a rugby tour, they will not need to purchase a new one.

Modern Foreign Languages Support Sessions
The MFL department are running weekly extra help sessions for Y10 and 11 pupils in order to prepare them for their controlled assessments. There will also be sessions for Y12 and Y13 pupils in order to help prepare them for their writing and speaking exams.
Parking on Edge Hill
Parents of pupils are asked not to park either in the Parish Hall car park or in front of residents' driveways.

UCAS for Parents
The University admissions body (UCAS) has launched a service for parents.This enables parents to sign up for quarterly e-newsletters, access the UCAS Parent Guide and find out information about finance, offers and choices. We would encourage all Y11 and Sixth Form parents to sign up and thereby equip themselves to help their sons through the university application process. [this notice was posted on 7.7.11]
