Wimbledon College Basketball

Basketball has now become a major sport at Wimbledon College, with opportunities given to all boys to participate at whatever level they choose, be it recreational or competitive.

Teams for Figures, Rudiments, Lower Grammar, Grammar and Seniors (Y 11 – 13) are entered in Leagues within  Merton Schools and Surrey Schools. The Under 15 and Seniors also play in the English Schools Basketball Competitions. Wimbledon College had considerable success last season in winning three trophies in Merton, and achieving Runners up in Surrey for Under 14 and Under 16. Congratulations must be given to the Under 16 squad who, last season, came Third in their National Championships Playoffs( Development Division) at Nottingham. 

We have links with the BBL Champions, Guildford Heat, and a newly formed club within Merton, The Harris Hawks.
