Wimbledon College Rugby Rugby became the College's main winter sport in 1922. It is still the College's largest sport, with over 300 boys representing the school each year. Matches take place every Saturday morning in the Michaelmas term and the first half of the Lent term. The College also enters the Daily Mail Cup at both U15 and U18 level. In the latter half of the Lent term is the 7-a-side season. The College is especially strong in this area, with the U13's and U16's both reaching the semi-finals of the Rosslyn Park Nationals Sevens in 2007, and the U16's reaching the quarter-finals in 2008. The U13's became National Sevens Champions in 2010. The Fixtures are now available for the 2011-12 season. The Fixtures for the Sevens season are also now available. Weekend Results A very good weekend, with 10 wins out of 12 matches. The 1st XV overcame CLFS 26 - 3, whilst both the U12 A & B team both produced excellent performances to claim the scalp of Whitgift school, away in Croydon. Friday: U12A/B vs Rutlish. Home at 2.30pm. Saturday vs St. Olave's: Please note that all fixtures this Saturday have been cancelled due to frozen pitches.
