GCSE Results 2015

We are pleased with our GCSE results this year, with 49% of all entries at A*-B. The percentage of A* grades achieved by the boys increased from last year, against a slight drop nationally.  Overall 66% of our pupils achieved 5 A*-C [Including English and Mathematics], with 35% of the pupils attaining the Ebacc.

In English 88% of our pupils made more than or expected progress and in Mathematics the figure is 73%. A significant increase in the C Grade boundary of the Edexcel Mathematics paper has made it more difficult to achieve however 31% of our pupils achieved A*/A in Mathematics.

Individual successes include:
Fabio Vasconcelos with 13 GCSEs [7 A* & 4As];
James Bowyer and Kuba Wasiel with 12 GCSEs each [2 A*/7A & 5A*/3A respectively]; Patrick McCluskey 8 A* & 3As; Jacob Smith 7A* & 4As; Sean Sullivan 5A* & 6As; Zach Lambert 9A* &1A; Zak McNulty 6A*& 4As and George Cameron 2A*&8A.

The pupils have put a tremendous amount of effort into their studies over the last two years, which has now reaped its reward.  I would like to thank our staff who have also worked hard supporting and encouraging the boys as I am sure have parents.

We look forward to seeing many of the boys returning to our Sixth form and I would like to wish all of the boys the very best in whatever pathway they now follow.
