Teaching Vacancy
The College is seeking to appoint a Teacher of English for September 2013. Applicants should go to the Jobs page for further details.

Y10 GCSE Physics Exam

Will take place on the 5th June. Revision will take place during half term, further details here.

Rhetoric Valete
Rhetoric Valete takes place on 26 June 2013.  Boys have been given invitations to pass on to their parents who are invited to join their sons from 3pm.  We would be grateful for confirmation of numbers to Mrs Household by Wednesday 19 June 2013.  Textbook return takes place from midday and all boys should collect a book return form from the Sixth Form office before returning their textbooks to TSAs in the various Faculty/subject areas.  Swipe cards for the automatic gates should also be returned to Mrs Household so that we can return the £5 deposit.  We look forward to welcoming parents to what has become a very enjoyable celebration. UKMT Junior Maths Challenge
Congratulations to the Set A Mathematicians in Figures and Rudiments who entered this years UKMT Junior Maths Challenge. They were awarded 10 Gold, 16 Silver and 24 Bronze certificates. Congratulations to Alexander Bassford and Michal Chadzynski for achieving the top marks in Year 7 and 8 respectively.

Army Cadet Force Annual Detachment Inspection
Congratulations to all the Cadets and Adult Instructors of the College's Army Cadet Force Detachment who have recently completed this year's annual inspection and passed with flying colours being awarded the highest grade possible.

Friends of Wimbledon College
The next FoWC meeting will take place on Tuesday 4th June at 7.45pm in the Office above Reception. All Parents and Guardians are welcome.

Secondhand Uniform
extended deadline 3rd-7th June.
The Friends of Wimbledon College have started a secondhand uniform collection. The uniform will be sold on specific dates and the funds donated to the school. Please look for any items of clean uniform that are too small or are no longer needed. There will be collection bags in Reception during the last week of this half term (20th-24th May). The first sale will be to new Y7 parents on Saturday 22nd June.

Merton Deanery Mission
A whole series of events aiming to bring people together to celebrate and deepen their faith from the 4th-19th May. See the full programme here. As part of the mission there are a series of 3 Youth Events: “Engage” – an action packed youth day; “Enrich” - an evening of music and talks; “Ignite” – a celebratory youth Mass. £1 A Day Challenge
Mr Potter has now completed his £1 a day challenge supporting Mary’s Meals and the IF campaign, tackling the problem of hunger in our world. He would like to thank you all for your support and interest. You can see a short highlights video of how he got on with the challenge here. Don’t forget you can support Mary’s Meals by making a contribution here, and you can make a difference by joining the IF campaign and encouraging others to do likewise.

Sainsburys Vouchers
We are once again collecting vouchers for sports equipment from Sainsburys and would be grateful for all contributions.. There are collection boxes in the Lower Line, Higher Line and Sixth Form PSA's offices.

Automated Gates
Please be aware that entry onto the school site, during the school day, is now via the automated pedestrian gates.  Visitors can gain entry by using the Intercom button on the right hand post of the pedestrian gate. Please note that only the right hand gate opens and that it opens inwards. NB There is a slight time delay in the gates opening. The gates will be open before and after school.
