Kevin Kararwa appeal for bone marrow donor
We would like to bring to your attention the appeal that has been made both on ITV London News and in the Wimbledon Guardian.
Kevin is an old boy of the College and is suffering from a rare form of leukaemia. He requires a bone marrow transplant to save his life.
He is appealing to people of East African origin/descent to come forward and join the British Bone Marrow Registry, not just for himself but for others, as there is a shortage of donors.
We would ask that you pass on this request as widely as possible to raise awareness of this need both in the local community and nationally.
Further information about becoming a bone marrow donor can be found by clicking here
Christmas Play NEXT WEEK
102B at Chantry College are a very awkward class. When their History teacher falls off a cliff, his replacement becomes convinced that they murdered him. It isn’t long before he realises they are after him too. This is the plot of the award-winning “Unman, Wittering and Zigo”, by Giles Cooper. What do you do when you meet 35 years later on a train, the hated Prefect who caned you nearly every day? This is the theme of “Galloping Foxley” by Roald Dahl. Both plays form the programme for “THE BEST DAYS OF YOUR LIFE?” – this year’s darkly comic Christmas show. College Hall Dec 11th, 12th, 13th at 7.30. Tickets £5 on the door, or in advance from Mrs A. Lawlor, College Secretary. Ticket Order Form here.
