Wimbledon College Sixth Form students are celebrating their fantastic achievements in this year’s A Level and Vocational qualifications. The results continue the success of recent years with an increase in the number of students achieving as least three A Levels graded A*-B and the percentage of grades at B and above and at C and above increasing again.
At A Level, students achieved a pass rate of over 99% with over 27% at A*/A, 64% at A*/B and 89% were graded A*- C. Results in Vocational courses were equally impressive with a 100% pass rate and just under half of all grades awarded were at least Distinction level. These figures, achieved in a wide range of subjects, continue to be well above national figures, which is very pleasing.
There are outstanding individual achievements in A Levels with one student achieving five A Levels and an A grade EPQ. Another student achieved 4 A* grades with a further ten students achieved 3 A Levels at A*/A. In Vocational courses seven students achieved at least D*D.

Headteacher, Adrian Laing, said “Huge Congratulations to all of our students on their thoroughly deserved results. It is, as always, a real pleasure to see so many of our students being successful in gaining places at their university of choice or taking up their apprenticeship offers. It is wonderful to see so many outstanding personal achievements that are the culmination of the students’ time with us.
Such successes are only achieved through the students’ commitment and hard work and the support that they receive from their parents, subject teachers and our Sixth Form team. It is a credit to them that they are now able to take the next step on their career path.
We wish all of our students, who have completed their Sixth Form studies, every success in their future endeavours. We look forward to hearing of their ongoing successes through our Alumni network.”
