Pupils have been successful across all subjects and in particular within the core subjects. 36% of all grades are at Grade 7 or above and 72% of all grades are at Grade 5 or above which is in line with our two previous years’ results and a significant increase from 2019. 83% of pupils have achieved at least a Grade 4 in English and Maths and 69% have achieved at least a Grade 5 in English and Maths, up from 58% in 2019.

76% achieved at least a Grade 5 in English and the same number have at least a Grade 5 in Maths. Over 40% of our pupils achieved at least a Level 7 in Maths and also in Religious Studies. 72% of pupils achieved at least two 5s in Science.

Amongst our outstanding individual achievements, we have twelve pupils who achieved 10 or more Grade 7s or above. These include two pupils who achieved nine Grade 9s and an eight and two who achieved seven Grade 9s and two eights.   A further 24 pupils achieved at least seven GCSEs at Grade 7 or above. 66 pupils achieved a Grade 9 in at least one subject.

Headteacher, Adrian Laing said ‘I pass on my congratulations to all of our pupils who have received their results today. It is fantastic to see them achieve such excellent results.  It is credit to them, their parents and their teachers, that they have been so successful.

They now continue on their academic journey and it has been pleasing to see so many enrolling into our Sixth Form today. We wish all of our pupils ongoing success in their studies.’
