Performance dates are Wednesday 23, Thursday 24 and Friday 25 March 2022 at 7.30pm in the College Hall
After a three-year covid-induced interlude, we present Lionel Bart’s much-loved musical, crammed with famous songs and adapted from Charles Dicken’s novel. Oliver Twist is a starving urchin in a London workhouse. After asking for more food, he is sold for £5 to an undertaker's. Following maltreatment, he runs away, meets The Artful Dodger and is introduced to Fagin’s gang of pickpockets, to Nancy and the violent Bill Sykes. Oliver’s introduction to stealing goes wrong and he is arrested, then taken in by kind Mr Brownlow. Sykes must silence him before he reveals where the gang’s HQ is…..
The young cast of Wimbledon College and Ursuline pupils look forward to welcoming you to their first production!
